FundRaisers
In order to support the various activities in which band students participate, we have several fundraisers. Some fundraisers are held specifically to help students raise money to pay for trips and fees. Other fundraisers are for the music program in general and help make sure we have quality instruments, music, and opportunities to participate in festivals and competitions.
In addition to concert revenue and fee collection, the Auxiliary has 4 main fundraising projects. The proceeds go directly to the general fund.
Citrus Fruit Sale
It is one of the music programs largest fundraising project which is critical to the program’s success. Students will receive a $5 rebate for every case sold up to a maximum of $50 refund.
Band Booster Program
A committee of parents solicit local businesses and organizations for donations to the music program. Contributors have their names published in the programs distributed at all Band concerts. Income tax receipts are issued for these donations
All Jazzed Up
Located at Truro Legion, this event allows you to dance the night away with the music of the CEC and TMS jazz bands. Along with a dance there is also a Silent Auction, Cake Auction and Blizzard Blitz. A committee of parent volunteers solicit local businesses and organizations for donations for silent auctions.
